Year-end final conference of the Minister Hrachya Rostomyan took place

Today, on December 14, year-end final conference of the RA Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Hrachya Rostomyan took place. 

Minister Rostomyan introduced the journalists the main working areas directed on mass sport, child-juvenile sport, replenishment of national teams and youth affairs.

Minister talked on talk about new programs conducted in the field of mass sport, which realization is planned to start in 2017. They are: spartakiads held among 1-3 and 4-7 grades pupils of RA and NKR secondary schools, spartakiad held among 8-12 grades pupils, republican student sport games, RA rural sports games, elderly national games and republican shooting competition among officers of public authorities. “These are state programs being launched in 2017 but our ministry has already started and successfully implemented a project aimed at popularization of sports and healthy lifestyle allowing all interested persons to participate in weekly mass trainings conducted by our skilled trainers. Project was launched in October nearby the Sport and Concert Complex named after K. Demirchyan and now, because of weather conditions, trainings are held in “Spartak” sports hall,” noted the Minister. 

H. Rostomyan touched upon necessity of efficient use of resources saved through optimization of sports school under the Ministry. “This is also a major strategic problem which, I am sure we will successfully solve by finding more efficient ways to use saved funds,” he stated. 

According to the Minister it is necessary to regulate supervision upon works of eastern martial arts’ federations. “Legislative solution will be given to this. This process is expected to be completed in the 1st quarter of next year,” informed H. Rostomyan.

The Minister also answered numerous questions of journalists.
